한국이주여성인권센터가 이주여성 활동가를 위한 세미나를 이달 말부터 정기적으로 연다.

세미나는 매월 두 차례 다양한 주제로 진행될 예정이다.

첫 세미나는 오는 20일 오후 6시30분 서울 종로구 센터 교육장에서 열린다. '외국인 보호소의 이주민 인권 상황'을 주제로 지난해 외국인 보호소 실태조사에 참여했던 김연주 변호사가 발표한다.

참석 희망자는 오는 18일까지 세미나에 참석하고 싶은 이유 등을 간단하게 작성해 이메일(kwmigrant@daum.net)로 신청하면 된다.

센터는 "이주여성 활동가의 역량을 강화하기 위해 세미나를 마련했다"라며 "앞으로 이주여성의 인권 문제를 다양한 시각에서 다뤄볼 계획"이라고 전했다.

한편 센터는 한국어 방문 무료 교육 신청도 다음달 15일까지 받는다. 서울에 거주하는 이주여성 또는 국제결혼가정 자녀면 신청할 수 있다. 홈페이지(www.wmigrant.org)에서 신청서를 내려받아 작성해 이메일(wmigrant@naver.com)로 제출하면 된다.

Korea Immigrated Women Human Rights Center hosting activist seminar

Korea Immigrated Women Human Rights Center is planning to host seminars regularly for immigrated women activist starting at the end of this month. The seminar will be opened twice a month with variety of topics. The first seminar will be held at Seoul Jong-Ro gu center education hall on the 20th of this month at 6:30pm. The presenter will be Kim Hyun Ju lawyer who has given a presentation last year on "Immigrants' human rights status of foreigners' shelter" Anyone who hopes to participate can register through e-mail at kwmigrant@daum.net with a brief comment on the purpose of your visit. The center has stated that they are hosting this seminar to enforce and strengthen immigrated women activist and is planning on approaching problems regarding immigrated women human rights from a different point of view. On the other hand, Free Korean education visitation program will start receiving registration on the 15th of next month.
